It explores the major concepts and theories of the psychology of bargaining and negotiation, and the dynamics of interpersonal and inter-group conflict and its resolution. Twelve of the 20 chapters from the main text have been included in this edition, several chapters having been condensed for this volume. Those condensed chapters have shifted from a more research-oriented focus to a more fundamental focus on issues such as critical negotiation subprocesses, multiparty negotiations, and the influence of international and cross-cultural differences on the negotiation process.

About the Author
Dean of the School of Business at Queens University, Canada. He has coauthored several articles on negotiation, conflict resolution, employee voice, and organizational justice. Prior to accepting his current appointment, he was director of the McGill MBA Japan program in Tokyo, and he has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and South America.

Dean’s Distinguished Teaching Professor and Professor of Management and Human Resources at the Max. M. Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. He has authored or edited 24 books, as well as numerous research articles. Professor Lewicki has served as the president of the International Association of Conflict Management. He received the first David Bradford Outstanding Educator award from the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society for his contributions to the field of teaching in negotiation and dispute resolution.

Professor of Management and Sociology at Vanderbilt University. His research on negotiation, influence, power, and justice has appeared in numerous scholarly journals and volumes. Professor Barry is a past-president of the International Association for Conflict Management (2002–2003), and a past chair of the Academy of Management Conflict Management Division.

Great text, terrible medium.

The text was fine, everything that I needed for my class and more. However, I was frustrated by way the information was presented.

By and large I have been impressed with Kindle products and Amazon altogether. The publisher made this impossible to load onto the actual Kindle because sizes couldn't be changed at all, I'm not sure for the purpose of this. Also, I couldn't read it on my Kindle application on my PC because, in an effort to cut down on illicit copying, they made it impossible to change the size on the application.

All in all, it made the reading of the textbook nearly impossible. I'm certain that this is the beginning, not the end of textbooks via e-books but I was unimpressed and frustrated with the content restrictions. I will not purchase any more items from this publisher and would advise you to do likewise.

It is a good read with excellent illustrations of the concepts being taught

Lewicki's work was a required textbook for a gradate course that I'm taking this summer (2016). It is a good read with excellent illustrations of the concepts being taught. As far as textbooks go, the scholars who wrote the book are also practitioners in the art of negotiation and conflict resolution.

Cant HIGHLIGHT!

There are so many restrictions on this book. like I got for a class and I can not highlight!!! it will not operate on a computer... so annoyn! Does the publishher not relize that this is usse as a textbbook not for personal reading... ccant believe it..HORRIBLE DONT BBUY...Would have rather waited t get scanned copies of tthe chapters..
